The department was located here until all was moved to the Law Enforcement Center on McGee St. This building recently fell victim to the wrecking ball to make way for the new hotel-office complex that is being built.

This old photo is of 1950,s Police Cars parked in front of the old Headquarters building at 22 West Broad Street in Greenville, SC. The building creaked and was well worn but it had so much history. I remember holding roll-call upstairs and playing cards before it was time to go to work. The Desk Sgt was downstairs with the jail and 'booking' room right there. At the time we even had the old building next door that served as the training area as well as where ID, and Detectives worked. Wonderful history in that building. A shame it was not preserved.
